Melissa Davis, LPC- she/her/hers

Hi. I’m Mel. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Berry College and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. For the past 9 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a therapeutic school environment supporting neurodivergent teens and young adults. That experience deeply shaped my belief in the importance of connection, patience, and meeting people where they are.

I now bring that same approach into my private practice in Tucker, GA, where I am excited to support clients in a more individualized and collaborative setting.

In therapy, I take an empathetic, person-centered approach. I aim to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted as you are. You don’t need to come in feeling strong or put together. Together, we’ll gently explore the parts of your story where you feel stuck and work toward building resilience and inner strength over time.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me hiking, going to concerts, spending time with my two cats, having movie nights with friends, or keeping an eye on the weather. I have a bit of a special interest in storm chasing.

Confidentiality:

Your privacy is a top priority. All information shared in counseling sessions is kept strictly confidential and protected in accordance with professional and legal standards. Details of your sessions will not be disclosed without your written consent, except in situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or as otherwise required by law. Secure systems and ethical practices are used to safeguard your personal information at every step.

For walk-and-talk therapy sessions, I cannot guarantee the same level of confidentiality as in an enclosed office setting. However, I choose spacious, low-traffic locations to reduce the likelihood of conversations being overheard.

If we happen to see each other outside of therapy, I will not initiate interaction or acknowledge you unless you do so first. This is to respect your privacy and uphold confidentiality.
